Jaipur


Jaipur is known as the Pink City, after being painted up for a visit by King Edward VII in 1876, when he was Prince of Wales. The pigments are natural, and actually it's more like the Orange City.

The Wind Palace was built so the court ladies could watch without being seen. The building is only one room thick.

The vessel is one of two, and both are the largest sterling silver objects in the world. They hold 9000 liters of water apiece. Maharaja Madho Singh II took a trip to England, and brought Ganges water with him. I got the exact opposite advice.
