One of the holy sites of Hinduism, with a beautifully serene lake. It's
forbidden to photograph the lake, though for some reason, there were picture
postcards of the lake for sale all over town.
Temple of Brahma
Possibly the only one in India. Though Brahma created the universe, he
went strangely quiescent afterwards, and is almost never worshipped.
Commerce
Directly in front of the Temple of Brahma, excellent proof of the
universe's existence.
Another street in Pushkar
The center of town has narrow streets and multi-story buildings.
Rooftop restaurants are popular.
A Sadhu
These people give up their homes and worldly possessions for a life of
begging and religious quest.
Another commercial street
Book stores and record stores, aside from the normal tourist
bric-a-brac.
Bookshop
Shame about the name it always pays to do your market research.
Not Invented Here
This is Lubavicher headquarters, hoping to snare the many Israeli
tourists who pass through Pushkar.
