Near Red Square, under the shadow of Hotel Rossiya. English merchants
were headquartered here. When Queen Elizabeth refused Ivan the Terrible's
offer of marriage, he threw them out.
Cathedral of Christ the Saviour
This is a reproduction. Stalin had the original torn down and turned
into a swimming pool. When the water started to ruin the paintings in the
Pushkin Museum across the street, the pool was closed.
Novodevichiy Convent
Moscow University Building
One of 7 "Stalinist-gothic" skyscrapers. With fog, for
effect.
Kropotkinskaya Metro Station
Not the best, but the only one I got to photograph. Sadly, I didn't
have time to ride around very much. The Moscow underground is an
attraction in itself.
